We wanted to go to a campground in the Barnwell state park, but because it was getting dark and the park was still 20 miles away, we decided to change a route and go to small city call Denmark.

This is a very unique city, I haven't seen even one white person in the streets. We still have to read about the history of the city.

We found 1 hotel and decided to stay over here. Apparently there are no campgrounds around.

Now we gonna rest and recharge our energies for a long ride tomorrow.

Change of plans
Found a turtle!
Hey! Look what we found! A giant turtle on the side of the road! :-)
Last point with water before our destination.
Here is the last point with water and food before destination. We will recharge your energies before moving along, we still have a long way to go.
Summary of Days 2, 3 and 4
Day 2
So far everything has been GREAT!
On our second day we spend most of the time going from store to store, buying a lot of things we needed to get started including picking up our bicycles:
Here are a few scenes from the second day:
Day 3
On the next day we had to go back to downtown to pick up some extra bags we couldn't find anywhere in stock. Since we had delivered the car already, we had to go with the bicycles. The problem is that we were planning to start riding that day, and going back to downtown delayed us a LOT. So we got started but didn't go too far. We found a campground on the way, so we stayed there for the night.
Day 4
This was first hardcore riding day. We covered 52 miles and arrived at Walterboro, our planned stop. The ride was nice, although we got some very cold weather in the morning. In early afternoon we started to heat up and that helped. We saw many hidden places, back roads and creeks. The landscape is great here too.
Here are a few scenes of day 4:
We also found a hotel for $30, and since the campground was $25, guess where we spent the night! haha it was good to have a nice bed to rest. Today we have 55 miles ahead of us.
We're about to leave now, so stay tuned for our updates throughout the day! :)
Cheers,
Eduardo & Gilberto
